to oversee and manage the day-to-day operational activities of the business. Reporting directly to the Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency across quality management, logistics, documentation, inventory control, aftersales support, and the Customer Response Centre.
This role requires a hands-on leader with strong organisational, problem-solving, and people management skills, ideally with experience in the ICT or a similar fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Manage and allocate incoming operational tasks effectively
Maintain and update daily driver schedules
Ensure accurate invoicing in line with customer orders
Oversee stock receipt, control, accountability, and security
Generate purchase orders, including packaging requirements
Monitor dispatch documentation, filing, and supplier invoices
Report stock variances and implement corrective actions
Ensure proper handling of demo and loan devices
Aftersales & Administration
Provide customer support and manage aftersales activities
Handle inbound calls, enquiries, and the Operations inbox
Follow up on customer queries and outstanding documentation
Assist with onboarding, insurance claims, tender documentation, and travel arrangements
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Act as a trusted advisor and manage customer expectations
Resolve queries and complaints in line with agreed SLAs
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Reporting
Compile and submit accurate operational reports within deadlines, including:
Aftersales Reports
Loan Devices Reports
Monthly Mr Price Reports
Leadership & Team Management
Provide direction, guidance, and support to the Operations team
Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews
Identify training needs and support staff development
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and professional team culture
General
Identify potential revenue opportunities and escalate to management
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
Promote the company brand, values, and professionalism
Minimum Requirements
Matric and/or relevant Diploma (minimum)
3+ years' experience
in a similar operations management role
Previous experience within the
ICT sector
(advantageous)
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Valid driver's licence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
