SUMMARY:
Ensure the smooth operations of the businessPOSITION INFO:The Operations Manager is a senior role which involves making sure the organisation is running as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of customers and clients.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and motivate Teammembers.
  • Report any accidents or unsafe conditions to the relevant managers
  • Be responsible for compliance and knowledge of all relevant regulations and other safety standards
  • Facilitate communication within the management team and between the Operations team and management.
  • Monitor all scheduled tasks to insure that they are efficiently completed.
  • Provide training as needed to maintain an efficient and knowledgeable work force.
  • Enforce general company policies and issuance of coaching/disciplinary documentation to Operational staff, Final written warning and termination will be presented for approval to the relevant managers
  • Be responsible for relevant productivity data to ensure maximun productivity
  • Interpret the Operations SOP and Company procedures to the operational team.
  • Have knowledge of staff management procedures.
  • Provide departmental coverage and leadership and maintain level of managerial professionalism at all times.

and Executive Team with research and development of new techniques and procedures to increase the efficiency of any operation. * Preparing annual budgets and reports concerning the operation costs and present to Management Board
  • Interacts with approved and authorised subcontractors and reports subcontracted work and costs for reconciliation and regular reviews
  • Oversees that supervisors carry out their set duties and that all controlled documentation is effectively completed and stored
  • Ensures active and continual control of the operational system and safety standards
  • Identifies areas of risk or improvement and proactively discusses such with executive level.
  • Regularly attend client/customer briefings and meetings that relate to the operational areas or needs of clients and ensure these are effectively minuted and filed Conduct regular visits to customers/clients to assess services delivery satisfaction- if required
Qualifications and skills required
  • Have 3-5 years of experience as an Operations Manager
  • Have mainframe computer software knowledge related to record keeping. Preferred experience on Excel, Microsoft Word, and Operational/
management programs. * Be able to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and inter-company memos/outside correspondence.
  • Have 2-3 years of accounting, planning, and analytical and/or reporting experience, in positions with increasing responsibility is preferred.
  • Be able to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Understand financial statements and resulting cost implications.
  • Have strong analytical and communication skill with proven ability to work within the framework of the Team.
  • Have a tertiary degree/diploma in a related field is preferred.
  • Good people management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent financial acumen.
  • Computer Skills xe2x80x93 essential ( MS Word, Power point, Excel, Outlook, Health and Safety )
