Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have completed a National Senior Certificate
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations or Project Management would be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role with an understanding of project timelines are essential for this role
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work optimally in a flat organization and with people at varying levels of the organization will be required for this role
• Good communication skills, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders, such as Architects, Electricians, Artisans and Site Managers are important
• Must have experience in collaborating with other contractors in order to create an efficient project plan and timeline
• Must have a valid drivers license, own reliable transport and be willing to travel within the Western Cape region

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing 3-4 teams and various projects simultaneously.
• Overseeing all major projects from concept to handing over.
• Implementing, improving and maintaining the operational systems, processes and policies.
• Investigating and solving technical issues.
• Managing multi-million Rand projects, including costing, budget, resources, staff and relevant documentation.
• Forecasting resource and equipment requirements for staffing and cash flow.
• Building and improving relationship with clients and industry stakeholders.
• Increasing work efficiency of project staff and reducing wastage and costs.
• Ensuring compliance with and adherence to all safety regulations and industry standards.
