WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight is currently seeking a motivated and talented graduate to join our team as an Operations Graduate for our Energy Services division. This unique position offers the chance to work in the fast-paced and ever-evolving energy industry while gaining invaluable experience through a global programme.



As part of this 2 year programme, you will predominantly focus on the solid fuels industry within South Africa, engaging in a rich variety of tasks including operational, technical and commercially focused roles. This role will predominantly be based in Richard's Bay, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, South Africa. During the second half of the programme, you will have the opportunity to travel to our Energy Services locations; these could include the UK, USA, and various destinations across Asia. This will expose you to different cultures, challenges, and opportunities, providing you with a well-rounded perspective and a wealth of experiences that will help shape your career.



The AHK Graduate Programme is the perfect start for a graduate looking to develop their skills and build a long term career with a company at the forefront of the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) industry, operating within the metals, minerals and solid fuels sectors.



This experience, coupled with your drive, will open up further opportunities in the Group. Other candidates that have followed a similar programme have taken up operational and management roles both in the UK and overseas.

Essential

Required Competencies

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken as you will be working with external and internal stakeholders. An understanding of the Energy Services (solid fuels) industry.

Required Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Science, or Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering




Languages


English (Essential) A Local indigenous language

Travel Requirements

Travel as required both domestically and internationally.
