Responsibilities

Direct and coordinates the company's delivery and collection operation functions. Direct inbound and outbound logistics operation, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, and quality management. Ensure fleet is in a good road worthy condition before dispatching. Integrate and Manage the Operational MIS with day to day, weekly and monthly evaluation of operational processes and procedures. Driving of Super-Link and Tri-Axle Vehicles. Closing of freight with sails/nets, or securing the side curtains, before departing for routes, as well as assisting to secure/close up other vehicles which are loaded. Using scanners for all deliveries and ensuring that all POD's and delivery notes are returned and scanned. To ensure effective collection of cargo and delivery of cargo from one location to another location, vehicle inspection, load planning, freight inspection for quantity and quality, scanning, loading of cargo, load securing, compliance to laws of the land, offloading of cargo, accurate record keeping and professional customer service.

Requirements

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Transport Management related qualification. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the transport industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory position. Essential to have vast hand on experience in the loading and offloading of freight on Code 14 Vehicles. Must have had PDP and driving code 14 vehicle experience for minimum of 5 years experience driving Code 14 Vehicles Valid code 14 license with valid PDP for minimum of 5 years Must have own vehicle

This position is night shift specific. Applicants must be available and willing to work overnight hours as part of their regular schedule
