To manage all technical administration within the FICA department, ensuring quality assurance and implementing process controls to maintain compliance with Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) regulations. This includes verifying process and system controls, assessing outlying information to confirm customer identities, monitoring transactions for suspicious activity, and reporting potential money laundering or terrorist financing risks in accordance with the procedures outlined in our RMCP.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
A three-year tertiary qualification (Degree or BTech) with a focus on Risk Management, Compliance, Legal Studies, or a business-related discipline.
Experience:
2 to 3 years of experience in a policy administration or related operational environment (preferred)
Strong understanding of FICA processes and regulatory requirements
Experience in compliance monitoring is beneficial, particularly in handling telephonic enquiries and supporting regulatory functions
Knowledge and Skills:
Solid understanding of financial institutions and their operating environments
Working knowledge of FAIS and FICA regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong administrative capabilities with attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities
Analyse data for both prospective and existing clients to identify sanctions, politically exposed or influential individuals, and adverse media indicators, based on system-generated alerts and process workflows.
Contribute to FICA-related projects and system enhancements aimed at reducing manual interventions and improving operational efficiency.
Conduct ongoing monitoring reviews at defined trigger points, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting.
Execute and oversee established processes for transactional monitoring.
Collaborate with business units to validate findings, assign risk ratings, and agree on necessary remedial actions.
Conduct quality assurance reviews to confirm the closure and effectiveness of corrective
Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks based on the customer's risk profile.
Support the alignment of operational processes with the Risk Management and Compliance Programme (RMCP).
Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory reports, including daily, monthly, and quarterly compliance requirements.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and regulatory obligations.
Collaborate with team members to align duties, prioritise tasks, and manage work schedules to meet operational targets.
Champion the implementation of PPS's training and development initiatives, including mentoring assigned junior staff.
Execute operational policies and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery across departments.
