Job Description

Onderwyser/Tutor required for a well-known and established small Tutor Centre based in Randfontein. CAPS/KABV curriculum. Afrikaans and English. Intermediary, Senior and FET phase.

JOB DESCRIPTION, included but not limited to:

- Prepare lesson material per subject.

- Present/Tutor subjects to learners in both Afrikaans and English.

- Print and prepare Tasks, Tests and Exam papers for required subjects presented. Afrikaans and English.

- Provide guidance and assistance to learners in learning material, activities, tasks. English and Afrikaans.

- Provide assistance and guidance with tasks/test/exam preparations.

- Mark Tasks, Tests, Exam papers, PATS, excluding FET phase Tests and Exams.

- Prepare class rooms and ensure cleaning of class rooms daily.

- Assist with preparation and attend Parent's evenings and Prize Giving ceremony.

- Report disciplinary matters to CEO.

- Assist with daily general office duties.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 07h30 to 14h00.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Grade 12 Senior National Certificate.

- Language proficiencies in both Afrikaans and English (non negotiable).

- Relevant Degree, Diploma, Certificate an added advantage.

- Minimum of two (2) years post school work experience, preferably in Teaching, Tutoring, Skills Development.

- Passionate about the development, progress and learning of children.

- Patience and understanding for children with learning difficulties, ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, etc.

- Mature personality.

- Building and maintaining client and co-worker relationships (parents, learners, co-workers).
