Offshore Storeman - M/V The Explorer - Montague GardensFull job descriptionDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL BE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Ensure compliance with Group Safety and Security PoliciesArrange for equipment to be sent ashore for repairs/replacement/scrap and prepare the necessary waybills.Control and ensure the correct receiving, storing, and issuing of all stock items.Monitor stock levels and reorder timeously.Process the ordering of spares as required by other depths (departments) and follow up on all outstanding orders.Identify redundant and scrap stock and conduct regular spares audits.Do regular updates on bin table and store floor plan.Keep the stores documentation processing, computer data and filing up to date, including daily monitoring of mining consumables.Inform the Offshore Manager/Offshore Technical Manager and Warehouse Manager of changing spares and maintenance requirements.Maintenance of store area housekeeping and standards for all operating areas (RSA & NAM)Performance of any reasonable task requested by the OSM/OTM.REQUIREMENT AND SKILLSGrade 125 years of storekeeping experience encompassing all aspects of issues & receiptsFamiliar with MS programs and computerised store systemsA general understanding of technical engineering aspects preferableValid PassportPolice Clearance CertificateInterested applicants are required to forward their CV along with all supporting documents, to recruitment@transhex.co.za.
