Eager to elevate your career internationally? Our client is looking for a highly skilled Offshore Construction Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi. In this strategic role, you will take charge of planning, coordinating, and supervising offshore construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual and safety standards. Your leadership will be key to driving operational efficiency and achieving project milestones throughout the execution phase.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to offshore management for offshore scope at Bid stage, which will include review of Schedule and estimated durations, inputs to explanations and qualifications, review of procedures & method statements.
  • Review, comment and issue the ITB to sub-contract department for the scope of work related to offshore. Subsequently, review and comment on the proposals provided by the bidders.
  • Distribute copy of project scope of work and client specifications to LME, OOD, NBM, SDD, and LD.
  • Finalize the list of project deliverables prepared by OCE's for the offshore scope, in coordination with LME, OOD, PEM & include in the project deliverable list.
  • Develop offshore execution plans in coordination with AVP-OCS/ OCD / LME / OOD /NBM subsequent to the kick-off strategy meeting.
  • Produce offshore schedule taking into consideration project milestones and availability of barges / marine units, in coordination with PD / VPOO / AVP- OCS / OCD / OOD.
  • Prepare a list identifying the marine spread requirement for the project and finalize with VPOO/OOD.
  • Initiate the offshore project risk and opportunities in coordination with planning and cost manager,
  • Project Material Coordinator for timely delivery of offshore material (including line pipe material), receipt at stores and approval of MRV.
  • Attend weekly meetings with AVP-OCS / OCD / VPOO to discuss progress and areas of concern.
  • Ensure implementation of the project safety plan and the company HSEMS.
  • Supervise OCE's to coordinate with OPE, Barge Superintends, and Field Engineers to ensure that mobilization is through and complete.
  • Ensure that job cards are prepared by OCE's - or by coordinator (from PMT) - assigned for offshore hook-up work as required.
  • Constantly update the project offshore schedule based on progress achieved and availability of resources in coordination with OOD/ OCD/OPS / LD / SDD. Recommend proposals to recover any delays to schedule.
  • Supervise the OCE's for mobilization / demobilization of subcontractor resources, monitor their performance and prepare evaluation report.
  • For Hook up scope, to interface and take the ownership with E&I, Commissioning, Project team to make sure that the JUB is working efficiently and not exceeding the estimated duration in the CHOD, any anticipated delays shall be reported to Senior offshore Management in advance to take proper corrective action.
  • Prepare a project closeout report after completion of project and include the lessons learned and recommendation for future works.
  • Appraise Offshore Construction Engineer, Sr. Offshore Construction and Lead Construction Engineer.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Preferably in Mechanical, Civil or Naval.
  • 10 years+ of experience in offshore construction.
  • Core offshore installations project management experience.
  • Subsea and Offshore Structural Installation Management experience.
  • Experience in Offshore installation, and marine operations.
  • Experience in Subsea Structure & Jacket, Topsides, cable laying & Pipelines Installation.
  • Superior knowledge of offshore operations, personnel & equipment.
