OFFICE MANAGER & HUMAN RESCOURCE OFFICER
Temporary Contract - Monthly Renewal
Cape Town: My client, a leading Readymix Concrete Supplier in the Western have, has a vacancy for an experienced Office Manager HR Officer to join their team.
Purpose of the Role
To provide full HR and payroll support, ensuring that all employee records, contracts, and statutory submissions are accurately managed. The role requires an energetic and committed individual with a strong HR track record to oversee payroll administration, HR compliance, and office management. This is a temporary contract, renewable monthly depending on business requirements
Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
Payroll

  • Full payroll function
  • Enrolling new employees on the payroll system
  • Pastel Payroll experience essential and not negotiable
  • Prepare and update employee contracts and ensure proper filing
  • Safekeeping of all employee information
  • Process monthly timesheets on payroll system
  • Manage and record employee leave accurately
  • Query and resolve discrepancies on timesheets, leave forms, and contracts
  • Submit Group Risk, Pension, National Health, and Union schedules monthly
  • Process UIF and UI19 documentation
Human Resources
  • Conduct KPI evaluations with employees
  • Address salary agreements and adjustments with directors
  • Manage incentive rating schedules
  • Issue warnings and maintain updated records
  • Facilitate disciplinary hearings and represent the company at CCMA if required
  • Manage online COID submissions
  • Keep accurate training records
  • Oversee health and safety files and support site compliance where needed
Office Management
  • Full office management ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Criteria
  • Post matric qualification in Human Resources
  • Proven track record in HR and payroll functions
  • Pastel Payroll experience essential
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and labour legislation
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Energetic, committed, and able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to resolve employee matters professionally
