Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients with psychiatric and substance use disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional recovery and reintegration
Facilitate therapeutic group and individual sessions targeting life skills, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention
Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and family members to ensure holistic care
Document progress, maintain clinical records, and contribute to case reviews and discharge planning
Advocate for client needs within the healthcare system and community resources
Participate in program development, staff training, and quality improvement initiatives
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist
Minimum 2 years' experience in psychiatric settings, with demonstrable work in addiction treatment
Familiarity with therapeutic models such as CBT, DBT, and harm reduction approaches
Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages (e.g., Afrikaans, isiZulu, siSwati) is an advantage
Valid driver's license
