our Cape Town branch

for a

HPCSA registered Occupational Therapist

. Our program has a rehabilitative approach to help those who are homeless find pathways out of poverty and homelessness. We do this through an extensive 4 phase model through which our clients journey, namely:

Phase 1

: Outreach and relief

Phase 2

: Change Readiness

Phase 3

: Work Readiness

Phase 4:

Integration

This post is to work within the last 2 phases of a client's journey on our program namely the

Work Readiness and Integration phases

. This takes place at our sites in

Parow, Bellville and Durbanville.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

Case management of clients within our work readiness and integration program including doing relevant OT assessments and intervention with clients (this will include referral of clients to relevant services in the Western Cape).

Take responsibility for presenting OT groups of a variety of topics to improve Work Readiness, life skills and goal attainment.

Attend case conferences about client cases and tertiary stakeholder meetings.

Work with and collaborate with our Work Coordination team to evaluate progress in work skill development of clients while they are working on experiential-learning shifts.

Work within a Multidisciplinary team to evaluate progress of clients.

Continue developing and adding to our Work Readiness and Integration programs.

Administrative responsibilities: progress notes, record keeping, report writing and monthly statistics

Qualifications & Experience

? B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy/ B. OT (required)

? Driver's license (required)

? Specific DBT training or relevant experience (required)

Good communication and active listening skills

? Experience in working with homelessness, disabilities, Voc. rehab, psychiatric disorders or addiction is advantageous but not necessary.
