Job specifications:

Strong knowledge of geared motor and industrial gearbox applications. Gearbox / drives industry knowledge including knowledge of suppliers in South Africa. Business development, sales and marketing of gearboxes or drive systems to end-users and OEM's Technical product support, training and presentations to end-users and OEM's. Technical and product support to key account managers, project sales and sales personnel. Provision of technical and marketing material relating to gearbox or drives products for use in internal and external publications. Technical training of staff and customers relating to drives products. Taking advantage of CRM as a tool for managing sales, customers and market data.

Key performance indicators:

Product management: Manage the development of Nord gearbox products and identification of possible markets for new business. Management of key customers and OEM's in key regions. Initiate and drive the marketing of Nord products. Product training of sales staff at BMG and AME branches. Sales and margins: Sales performance against price lists within the Nord product range, monitor and manage sales margin results against budget. Evaluate and propose market related pricing levels. Stock management: Stock forecasting and managing the product/stock demand by branches, end-user customers and OEM's Supplier management: Maintaining and building relationship with Nord. Pricing and terms negotiations. Be well informed about Nord initiatives that drive sales and marketing. CRM: Management and capturing of customer visits and sales opportunities. Maintenance of CRM data.

Education and experience:

Marketing / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification. Minimum 5 years sales experience in the gearbox/drives industry dealing directly with end-user backed with extensive business travelling. Budgeting, forecasting, technical and commercial knowledge. Collaboration, business/sales report writing and presentation. Strategic planning, initiative and customer focus.
