Job Description
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver actuarial projects in pricing, reserving, capital modelling, and risk management.
- Manage and mentor junior actuarial analysts, providing technical guidance and professional development.
- Oversee client deliverables and maintain strong relationships across key stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with finance, underwriting, and product teams to drive business insights.
- Nearly or newly qualified Actuary (FASSA or equivalent).
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in non-life actuarial work.
- Must have consulting experience (already working within or familiar with consulting projects).
- Strong background in pricing, reserving, or capital modelling.
- Management or team leadership experience essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Excel.
- Experience with tools such as Emblem, Radar, or ResQ is a plus.
- IFRS 17 exposure advantageous, but not essential.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive and driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, project-based environment.
- Passion for innovation, data, and technical excellence.
