Job Description
Perform all duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards
Adhere to the principles and standards of Patient Advocacy according to SANC Acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, Patient rights and Responsibility Charter., National Millennium Development goals and responsibility of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
Implement the nursing strategy in order to drive the strategic nursing plan and align night staff outputs, accordingly, assess patient acuity at all wards during the night and determine resource needs for the following day
Monitor the safety and care delivered by staff, including agency staff, identify quality improvement and implement opportunities to improve quality service delivery at night
Conduct regular ward rounds, including monitoring equipment, audits and patient environment checks
Co-ordinate after hour admissions and ensure effective recordkeeping and handover the next morning
Issue medication and manage the stock levels of Emergency Pharmacy Cupboard
Cur/Diploma in General Nursing
Bcur ET.Admin Qualification
Current registration with South African Nursing Council
BLS qualification
Further Business Management / Post Basic qualification advantageous
Updated ACLS/PALS/ATLS advantageous
3+ years' experience at a managerial/supervisory level
Computer Literacy
Between 3 - 5 Years
