Night Auditor - Join Our Front Office Team

Are you a night owl with a knack for numbers and a passion for hospitality? We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team and be the face of the hotel after hours.

Location: Lord Charles hotel

Shift: Full-time Overnight (23:00 to 07:00)

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in late-arriving guests professionally and courteously.

Address guest requests, complaints, and emergencies with efficiency and care.

Complete nightly audit of hotel financials, reconciling daily revenues and room charges.

Post room charges, taxes, and other applicable fees to guest accounts.

Verify billing accuracy and ensure correct payment methods are recorded.

Prepare and distribute daily management reports summarizing hotel performance.

Reconcile hotel payments and investigate discrepancies.

Monitor property safety and security throughout the night shift.

Set up the breakfast area or assist with handover to morning staff.

Ensure hotel systems are correctly rolled over to the next business day.

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma (required); accounting coursework or hospitality studies (preferred)

Experience in front desk operations or bookkeeping (advantageous)

Familiarity with hotel software systems such as Opera or other PMS platforms

Strong mathematical and reconciliation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work without supervision

Detail-oriented and calm under pressure
