Job SummaryCORE PURPOSE OF JOBTo facilitate and administer the learning and teaching process for students in modules presented by the Nelson Mandela University at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. To participate in and contribute to research and innovation, postgraduate student supervision, contribute to community, discipline and professional engagement as well as being involved inthe core functions of the University.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Facilitate the learning and teaching programmes, processes and outcomes of the department.
- Participate in and conduct to publishing of research and innovation.
- Supervise postgraduates students and projects.
- Perform academic, community and discipline engagement.
- Perform administration.
- Contribute to quality of the programmes and programme reviews.
- Ability to facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate level in communication networks.
- Ability to guide learners through enterprise network design projects.
- Knowledge in core routing, switching, and troubleshooting concepts.
- An understanding of network virtualisation concepts.
- Knowledge in the fields of cybersecurity and network security would be advantageous.
- Ability to actively engage in and supervise post graduate research.
- Ability to synthesize information to design learning experiences.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences through various media.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
