The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven Newsletter Ad Sales Representative to own the end-to-end process of selling ad placements and sponsorships across our client's growing portfolio of newsletters. This role is for a proactive and results-oriented professional who can build and nurture relationships with brands and agencies. Your primary goal will be to expand revenue by matching our client's unique audience with advertiser goals, turning pitches into successful, long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach:
Identify and prospect a targeted list of brands and agencies that align with the newsletter's audience demographics and content.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential advertisers through strategic outreach via email, phone, and professional networking.
Pitching & Deal-Making:
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and media kits that showcase the value and reach of the newsletters.
Pitch tailored campaigns and sponsorship packages that meet the specific needs of each advertiser.
Negotiate terms and close deals, consistently hitting and exceeding monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Relationship Management:
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to post-campaign follow-up.
Act as a key liaison between advertisers and internal teams to ensure flawless campaign execution.
Reporting & Strategy:
Track and report on sales activities, pipeline health, and revenue against targets.
Provide strategic insights to the marketing team to help refine offerings and identify new advertising opportunities.
What We're Looking For
Experience: Proven experience in digital media sales, ad sales, or newsletter/publisher sales is essential. You must have a track record of hitting revenue targets.
Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. You are comfortable with both prospecting and relationship management.
Mindset: A resilient, goal-oriented, and self-motivated professional who thrives in a performance-based role.
Relationships: Existing relationships with brands, agencies, or media buyers are a strong plus.
