As our Vehicle Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving performance, leading a team of sales professionals, and enhancing the customer experience in one of our full-service dealerships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets across new vehicles (and where applicable pre-owned).
Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with broader business objectives.
Manage the full sales process: prospecting, customer engagement, test-drives, closing deals, handing over vehicles and follow-up.
Monitor market trends, evaluate competitor activity and identify opportunities for growth.
Maintain strong relationships with brand principals, finance & insurance partners and internal departments (after-sales, parts, service).
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention, upholding our service excellence ethos.
Analyse performance metrics (sales volume, gross margin, CSI scores etc) and generate actionable reports for senior management.
Oversee the coaching and development of sales staff: training, performance reviews, setting targets and implementing improvement plans.
Maintain compliance with all relevant brand, legal and company requirements (sales processes, documentation, consumer protection, trade-ins).
What we're looking for
A seasoned sales leader in the automotive industry, with previous experience as a Dealer/Business Manager or Sales Manager at a vehicle dealership.
Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, managing people, and driving growth.
Strong understanding of both new and used vehicle markets, coupled with knowledge of finance, trade-ins and vehicle remarketing.
Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills: ability to motivate, lead by example and build high-performing teams.
Excellent customer-centric mindset with strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
Ability to analyse data, make strategic decisions and implement action plans.
Strong ethical standards, integrity and commitment to delivering quality service in line with the group's ethos of "product innovation and service excellence".
Valid driver's licence and willingness to work extended hours (weekends/late evenings) as required.
