RS Recruitment Services is assisting a leading organisation in the RETAIL HARDWARE industry to recruit a NEW BUSINESS MANAGER RETAIL PROPERTY ACQUISITIONS to be based at their offices in SOUTH RAND JOHANNESBURG. Basic R45k + car allowance R21k + medical aid and provident fund benefits.
OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IS PART OF A GROUP OF 350 RETAIL STORES ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA.
The purpose of this position is to find new business by facilitating the entry of new stores into the group.
Applicants should have/be the following:

• National Senior Certificate (Matric), pre-requisite.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Business Administration, Legal or related field would be advantageous).
• Experience in the building/hardware industry, an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the property business.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of local property and retail development market.
• Firm understanding of financial statements particularly cash flow statements and financing options.
• Ability to undertake and interpret financial feasibility studies.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Thorough knowledge of leasing and contracts.
• Ability to interpret demographic data.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Build it has a strong presence in the property development industry.
• Evaluation of prospective sites for Build it on a Macro and Micro level.
• Presentation of selected sites to Regional Committee for Build it Membership approval.
• Finalisation of lease agreements and securing of selected sites for development.
• Interview and evaluation of prospective retailers.
• Oversight of facilitation of Sale of existing Build it stores

Remuneration:
Basic R45k + car allowance R21k + medical aid and provident fund benefits.
