As a New Business Development and Technical Consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the implementation of business development strategies that focuses on financial gain and onboarding of new customers in the KZN province. You will be responsible for all duties that drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and establish strong relationships with current and potential customers. You will be responsible to identify new markets and customer needs, to ensure value added service, promote the companyxe2x80x99s products, manage sales targets effectively by achieving daily and call ratios. You will report to the Business Development Manager / Chemicals and Brushware . Requirements:
  • BCom Marketing degree or Diploma in Business Management is desirable.
  • Grade 12 with University exemption is essential.
  • Computer Literate (MS Office & Outlook)
  • Management / or Food Technology Qualification (advantageous)
  • Experience in Fast Moving Customer Goods (FMCG) and or cleaning industry essential.
  • Literacy and numeracy are essential.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Own transport with valid driverxe2x80x99s licence.
  • General business exposure.
  • Own reliable transport essential and willingness to travel within KZN Province.?
  • Must be comfortable with the Company culture and values.
  • Must be able to manage the strict flow of operations.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and meet deadlines.
  • High work standards, energetic and driven.
  • Excellent communication skills (English Command).
  • Attention to detail.

Duties:
  • Identify new markets and customer needs, to ensure value added service.
  • Responsible for market and industry research.
  • Manage, purchase analysis, customer segmentation, product and service analysis.
  • Improve and maintain standard of service.
  • Build market position by defining and closing business relationships with new customers.
  • Provide assistance with implementing suggested plans and strategies.
  • Create and present sales strategies.
  • Manage all customer meetings.
  • Follow up regular meetings with both active and prospective customers.
  • Ensure value added service for customers.
  • Initiate plans for customer companies to achieve profits and reduce losses.
  • Promote the companyxe2x80x99s products.
  • Drive message of quality, value and environmentally friendly products.
  • Enhance own product knowledge in order to demonstrate products to customers.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Ensure all customer training on new product ranges are kept up-to-date.
  • Manage sales targets effectively.
  • Pre-planning Weekly Sales Prospects.
  • Develop your own customer database.
  • Discovers and explores business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy that focuses on specific market segments.
  • Responsible for customer site surveys.
  • Complete reports and site surveys in order to provide focused solutions to customers.
  • Responsible for SLA and Cost negotiations.
  • Negotiating sales and clinching business deals.
  • Initiate Invoicing & Payment.
  • Conduct handing over of new contracts to operations.
  • Responsible to for timeously quotes.
  • Manage and process quotes for all customers (turn-around-time 24hours).
  • Accurate processing of quotes.
  • Management of costs compared to budget.
  • Achieving daily and weekly call ratios to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure cold-calling targets are met.
  • Weekly and monthly report need to be sent to Line Manager.
  • Ensure business development.
  • Ensure monthly sales targets are met.
  • Sales targets according to commission policy.
