Network Engineer

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Execute network deployment, migration, and upgrades based on design specifications
- Install and configure network equipment
- Participate in structured rollouts and infrastructure refresh projects
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and apply firmware updates
- Monitor and optimize network performance across switching, routing, and firewalls
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation
- Update diagrams, configurations, and standard procedures
- Generate routine reports on network performance and incidents
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
- Strong understanding of IP networking, routing/switching fundamentals, and firewall configuration
- Certifications:
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- Cisco CCNA Security
- PaloAlto PCNSA
- Vendor-specific (e.g., Arista and Mellanox)
- Experience with SD-WAN (VeloCloud preferred)
- VOIP fundamentals, including SIP, RTP, and QoS
- Exposure to cloud networking (Azure or AWS)
- Familiarity with scripting (Python and PowerShell) and network automation
- Hands-on with wireless networking (Meraki)
- Network performance monitoring and management platforms
