Job Description
We are seeking a skilled
Network Engineer
to design, implement, and maintain our organization's enterprise network infrastructure. You will be responsible for optimizing network performance, securing systems, and providing technical support to ensure smooth and efficient data communication.Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency or connectivity issues. Maintain and update routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching protocols. Administer firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures. Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades (firmware, patches). Collaborate with IT and security teams to support business operations. Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures. Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution. Provide support for on-site and remote users.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network devices. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, ACLs. Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: R1100,00 - R1260,00 per day
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
Work Location: On the road
