Title Network and Infrastructure



A full-time position a member of the IT Infrastructure, Server, Storage, and Firewall/Network Services Team.

Configure, deploy, administer, optimize, and support the organizationxe2x80x99s Server, Network, and Storage computing components and business applications.

Overseeing the security, integrity, and safety of the IT infrastructure, including making recommendation for improvements and enhancements focusing on security and efficiency.

The primary objective of these activities is to deliver value, via highly available IT Hosting and Network Services, to the IT Operations of Netstar (Pty) Ltd.

Supporting and assisting with Azure Cloud migration projects

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Networking

• Installation and support of Cisco switches
• Installation and support of Wireless devices
• Radius servers
• Network fault finding and network Troubleshooting skills
• Hardware Fault Finding and Troubleshooting
• IPsec tunnels
• Private APNxe2x80x99s
• Network Architecture and support
• Proactive Network Monitoring
• Network Design Skills
• Monitor, maintain and support LAN infrastructure
• Monitor, configure and support WAN infrastructure
• Remote site connectivity and SLA management

Compute and Storage

• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and MS O365
• Microsoft Server 2008,2012, 2016 and 2019
• VMware and Hyper-V
• Netapp Storage
• Manage antivirus / anti-malware solution on the perimeter.
• Patch Management
• Design, implement and support development and staging infrastructures

Network Security

• Support of Firewalls and Network Security Perimeter
• Analyse and report computer network security breaches or attempted breaches
• Proactive security trend analyses on industry websites or publications for potential malware security patches
• Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, report violations
• Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
• Upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Manage antivirus / anti-malware solution on the perimeter.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Technology
• 10 years proven experience in IT Operational Support
• At least 3 years in a team lead or supervision role
• Cisco Networking CCNA/CCNP (10 Years)
• Cisco Voice (5 Years)
• Fortinet Firewall and Web Security (5 Years)
• Server Technologies (5 years)
• Storage Technologies (10 Years)
• SLA and Service management (5 Years)
• Microsoft Azure Administration and Technologies (1 Year)
