National Sales Manager
will oversee the Sales, Marketing, and the Customer Service teams to expand market share and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets, leveraging local market insights.
Sales & Customer Relationship Management
Oversee national sales teams, engage with top accounts, and drive campaigns to generate a strong pipeline
Customer Service Excellence
Collaborate with customer service teams to enhance customer experience and resolve issues effectively.
Operational & Financial Oversight
Monitor commercial performance, optimize pricing, and lead forecasting & budgeting efforts
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to guide strategic decisions
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor and develop the national commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture.
MUST HAVE:
Tertiary education in business, marketing, or commerce is preferable.
Minimum of
8-10 years
of experience in commercial roles within the
Liner shipping industry
.
The ability to develop and execute national commercial strategies is required.
Proven track record in developing and managing key customer relationships.
Strong ability to negotiate commercial terms with customers, partners, and vendors
Experience managing commercial teams across multiple locations (e.g., Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg).
Competence in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning for commercial operations
