Refurbishment Centres Operations Management :
Drafts and implements the annual refurbishment plan in close collaboration with the Divisional Operations Manager
Develops refurbishment centre procedures / manuals in accordance with Afrirent's policies and procedures in order to optimise the centres' operations, increase profitability and ensure safe operations
Collaborates with the Divisional Operations Manager: Auto to set revenue targets
Identifies risks in the refurbishment process and develops risk mitigation strategies
Manages, monitors and reports on the achievement of planned targets and objectives for each centre
Ensures that efficient workflows are in place and that refurbishment projects are completed timeously
Oversees the maintenance of an accurate and updated database of all vehicles in the fleet and manages the scheduling of refurbishment of identified trailers
Manages, monitors and maintains optimum stock levels of parts, tools equipment and consumables
Oversees inventory levels of refurbished products and raw materials
Coordinates with the Procurement Department to ensure that adequate levels of components are always available to optimise the completion of refurbishments
Implements inventory control measures to minimise losses and waste
Oversees the outputs of the centres to optimise the refurbishment of trailers
Deals with escalated matters, queries or complaints from clients and vendors
Analyses and evaluates refurbishment requirements, costs and quotes and applies technical and commercial judgment to make appropriate decisions
Escalates complex / unresolved repairs to the Divisional Operations Manager: Auto
Monitors adherence to all service level agreements (SLA's)
Initiates any actions required to maintain / improve service levels
Stakeholder Management :
Maintains effective stakeholder and business relationships through appropriate relationship building, networking and reporting activities to promote retention and growth
Manages relationships and communication channels with new and potential clients
Monitors client satisfaction feedback and levels and makes recommendations for enhancements
Communicates with clients on a continuous basis in order to raise issues identified, deal with
logistical matters and compliance with SLA's
Resolves queries to ensure speedy resolutions and enhance overall client satisfaction
Ensures that all audits conducted by the client and Afrirent are passed and adhered to
International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Audit Compliance :
Achieves an average of 80% compliance on both internal and external International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) audits conducted
Budget Management :
Develops the annual Departmental and refurbishment budget
Monitors expenditure in line with the approved budget on an on-going basis
Ensures strict adherence to the approved budget
People Management :
Fosters a suitable and supportive environment conducive to employee development and the achievement of objectives
Implements employee development and training
Ensures that all employees receive the appropriate manufacturer training
Supervises the performance of the team and refers performance and disciplinary matters to the Divisional Operations Manager: Auto and Human Resources
Counsels the team to address discipline and workplace conflict in accordance with approved policies and procedures
