National Merchandising Manager Rietfontein

Salary: Market Related, depending on experience within the industry

Must be able to work weekends (Retail Hours) and be willing to travel between Branches

A well-established and reputable company in the wholesale/retail packaging industry is seeking to appoint a National Merchandising Manager, to start as soon as possible, or immediately, at their Rietfontein Branch.

Requirements

Grade 12

Marketing, Retail Management, Business Admin qualification.

Knowledge and understanding of merchandising principles, retail operations and market trends.

Knowledge of merchandising software, tools, retail channels i.e. online, instore.

Merchandising Management or similar retail industry role

Computer literate Basic Windows Applications.

Knowledge and experience of Pastel Evolution will be an advantage

Bilingual (Afrikaans & English)

Own transport

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Youll be responsible for the management and development of the business retail strategy i.e. merchandising, shop front layout etc.

Plan and execute merchandising initiatives to create an elevated experience for our customers, enhance product visibility and optimize sales.

Market trends analysis, customer insights and competitor activities.

Staff management-targets, performance, coaching etc.

Sourcing and develop of new products and services to increase sales across the retail channel.

Create merchandising strategies, cooperate with the brand and advertising departments.

Expenditure analyse and control in line with the annual budget, extract and analyse financial and business data to make informed decisions and projections.

Develop in cooperation with the brand and advertising department marketing collateral for the business, monitor inventory turnover and analyse sales data.

Responsible for promotional campaigns, product ranges and pricing to maximize sales and profitability.
