NATIONAL LOGISTICS MANAGER - ISANDORESPONSIBILITIES:Strategy Developmentxe2x80xa2Create and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to assist with improving operational excellenceTransport and Logistics Managementxe2x80xa2Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics processxe2x80xa2Ensure all completed orders are dispatched on timexe2x80xa2Ensure products are shipped appropriately to ensure quality of goods during transportationxe2x80xa2Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process.xe2x80xa2Conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities to ensure processes are as environmentally friendly as possibleFinancial Managementxe2x80xa2Manage and monitor departmental budgets and expenses to ensure financial goals are met.xe2x80xa2Lead all key operations decision-making processes including budgeting, forecasting, quality, reporting, and any other operational aspectsxe2x80xa2Analyse and interpret financial results for the departmentGeneral and People Managementxe2x80xa2Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvementsxe2x80xa2Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reportsxe2x80xa2Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions requiredxe2x80xa2Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitorsxe2x80xa2Perform other ad-hoc responsibilities as and when needed.xe2x80xa2Maintaining relationships with customers to ensure adequate supply of productsxe2x80xa2Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies without overstocking or understocking products in each depotxe2x80xa2Oversee maintenance of equipment used in operations to ensure safe working conditions for employeesxe2x80xa2Ensure compliance with legislation and policiesxe2x80xa2Evaluate new technologies for streamlining supply chain processesxe2x80xa2Monitor and analyse financial performance of the depotsxe2x80xa2Develop and implement plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the operations (production and logistics) departmentxe2x80xa2Enable Customer CentricityMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:xe2x80xa2Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in supply chain management or equivalent is essentialxe2x80xa2At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG industryxe2x80xa2Strong knowledge of supply chain regulations and compliancexe2x80xa2Experience with fleet management and maintenancexe2x80xa2Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a teamxe2x80xa23-5 yearsxe2x80x99 proven work experience in a management positionxe2x80xa2Proven commercial and financial acumen with excellent numerical skillsxe2x80xa2Proven ability to implement process improvement initiativesxe2x80xa2Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)xe2x80xa2ERP System, i.e., SAGE Evolution knowledge will be advantageousxe2x80xa2Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office Packaged (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)xe2x80xa2Solid knowledge of OHA Act, Quality management and Risk Management systemsxe2x80xa2Strong communication and leadership skillsxe2x80xa2Strong decision making and problem-solving skillsxe2x80xa2Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmospherexe2x80xa2Anticipate and overcome obstaclesxe2x80xa2Make useful links to arrive at insightful plans and solutionsxe2x80xa2Embraces personal challengesxe2x80xa2Confident, rounded thinker with logical reasoningxe2x80xa2Is self aware, resilient, optimistic and open to changexe2x80xa2Self motivated, flexible and works well under pressureJob Type: PermanentSalary: R700,000.00 - R900,000.00 per yearEducation:Bachelors (Required)Experience:Supply Chain Management: 5 years (Required)Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
