To implement timetable policies and processes across all campuses to suit the modes of delivery and student population and needs.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum qualification:
Degree in Information Systems or IT or Project/ Operations Management or a similar qualification
(Honours degree will be an advantage)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Essential)
Experience:
At least one to two years' experience in a planning capacity at a higher education institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
As the
National Lead: Timetables
, you will primarily be responsible for:
Support the development of timetables for various programmes (create timetable instance; facilitate review process; link student data to module activities; maintain)
+ Obtain qualification, lecturer, student and venue data to link this to modules on offer
+ Support, train and assist with the scheduling of the module for delivery
+ Publish timetable on relevant institutional platforms to all relevant stakeholders
+ To ensure suitable and sufficient venues are available at all campuses where Eduvos programmes are offered, including teaching and learning venues, and laboratory facilities, where appropriate. Venue allocation and timetabling are carefully planned to accommodate the needs of students. Create and maintain timetable related databases / systems
+ Ensure that all relevant data is up to date on database to streamline development or amendments of timetables
+ Train and support HOP's and campuses in the effective use of the relevant databases / systems / documents related to timetables
+ Ensure that the timetable information system is managed effectively in order to provide reliable information on the venues and timetables Advise Campus Timetable Leads, Faculty HOP's / Progamme Managers / Academic and Student Experience Managers / Programme convenors on how unique campus requirements can be accommodated and aligned to the overall approach / process / strategy
Evaluate lecturing load and review scheduling after a cycle to improve efficiencies
+ Conduct internal audit on lecturing load and schedules to ensure efficient resource allocation (lessons learned sessions during the year)
+ Recommend changes to relevant parties with clear action plans and timelines for implementation during next cycle
