Umhlanga.National Commercial Manager | Shipping and LogisticsA leading player in the shipping and logistics industry is seeking an experienced National Commercial Manager to lead their Durban-based team. This senior role will drive commercial strategy, spearhead sales, marketing, and customer service efforts, and lead national teams to boost revenue and market share. At least 8 years experience in a senior commercial role within the Liner Shipping industry and Ships Agency experience are essential.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute national sales and growth strategiesLead and mentor commercial teams across SA (Durban, JHB, CPT)Build strong client relationships and manage key accountsOversee pricing, tenders, budgeting, and forecastingEnsure seamless customer service and operational alignmentMonitor market trends and competitor activityRequirements:810+ years in senior commercial roles within the Liner Shipping industryShips Agency experience essentialIn-depth knowledge of the container shipping industry, including import / export processes, port operations, and supply chain logisticsUnderstanding of freight pricing models, trade lanes, and capacity planningFamiliarity with customs regulations, shipping documentation, and regulatory compliance in South AfricaStrong leadership across multi-location teamsStrategic thinker with strong analytical and negotiation skillsWillingness to travel nationally Apply:
