With more than 150 employees, Lindt SA is based in Cape Town with strong regional presence in Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth and a network of 15 Lindt retail stores.

Position Purpose

Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. Support regional sales managers to increase sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organized and able to analyze performance metrics
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to foster relationships with customers
  • Facilitate communication with customers and build long-term relationships to achieve business goals
  • Set and monitor targets for key account managers
  • Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs
  • Playing an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clientsxe2x80x99 requirements are met
  • Identify and attract prospective strategic customers
  • Ensure brand consistency
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new products
  • Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
  • Manage or participate in Cross-Functional Targets
  • Proven work experience (2-3 years minimum) in key account management
  • Solid experience in sales and customer service
  • Previous experience in negotiations of trading terms, promotional grids and PI implementation on a national level is a prerequisite
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients requirements
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Hands on experience with MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members
  • Availability to travel as needed
Qualifications/experience
  • BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
