VACANCY: DRIVER (Multi-Purpose)

Cape Salt is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious

Multi-Purpose Driver

to join our team in Velddrif. This role is responsible for the secure transportation of people, goods, documents, and salt products as required. The ideal candidate will adhere strictly to road safety regulations and follow all company safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Safely transport staff, goods, materials, and documents to assigned locations. Deliver packages or messages promptly and handle all items with care. Operate delivery truck and complete scheduled routes efficiently. Maintain accurate daily logbook records and delivery confirmations. Plan and optimize routes for timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report faults. Identify and report mechanical or electrical issues to management. Perform administrative tasks related to the driver/messenger function.

Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 certificate

(advantageous)

Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver's License

with

Professional Driver's Permit

Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience

Own reliable transportation (

non-negotiable

) Good route planning and time management skills Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
