The University of the Western Cape (UWC) enjoys national and international acclaim for its continuing contribution to democratic change in South Africa and for making quality education accessible to all South Africans and developing centres of excellence of national importance. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team. The post is positioned within the Media, Marketing and Communications Office and requires the successful candidate to operate across a range of publishing platforms and liaise with a multitude of stakeholders. The individual must, therefore, have a sound understanding of online, print and video publishing, with particular focus on enhancing the Standing and Profile of the University. The main purpose of this role is to bring capacity to the multimedia and specifically video content needs of the University.
The preferred candidate must be highly motivated, open to experimentation, learning and able to evolve their thinking in response to changing technology and stakeholder needs.
