SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Jotun Paints South Africa is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Multicolor Technician to support the operation and maintenance of tinting machines and related equipment at dealers and warehouses across South Africa.



Working closely with the Technical Support Executive, this role involves installing, servicing, and troubleshooting Multicolor systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

The technician plays a key role in delivering multicolor solutions while upholding our commitment to innovation, quality, and service excellence.
Responsibilities:Execute and follow up on preventive service and maintenance of Multicolor machines/mixers at dealerships and Jotun warehouses. Attend to breakdowns and repairs of MC machines. Assist in troubleshooting MC machines. Coordinate with the sales team to install the complete Jotun Multicolor concept with various in-shop elements at the dealer's shop once the contract is signed. Maintain and update the MC maintenance database, which will act as a database for improving areas like stock keeping of critical spares, understanding the nature and frequency of complaints, and time required to close a complaint, etc. Organize and deliver the installation of MC machines and usage for dealers' operators. Suggest and share best practices in attending to a problem with Multicolor equipment. Make use of new updates and concepts on multicolour systems. It is maintained and updated installation details regarding the date of multicolour system installations. Record spare parts withdrawn and returned to stock and installed at Multicolour shops.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
We are looking for a candidate who:
Education:A national diploma in electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related
technical field.


Experience:3+ years of hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technical equipment. Experience with tinting/multicolour machines or similar equipment is an advantage

Technical Skills:Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of software/hardware integration for machine operations. Understanding of colour calibration and paint tinting processes is preferred. Good command of MS Word and Excel for reporting.


Soft Skills:Good customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. Ability to train customers and colleagues effectively. Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.


Other Requirements:Having a valid driving license and valid passport is a must. Willingness to travel within the assigned geographical area. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical ability to handle equipment installation and maintenance tasks. Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
