Job Description
To maintain and provide an efficient and effective cold store service and facility.
This post reports to COLD STORE SUPERVISOR
Key Responsibility Areas
- Loads and removes produce from cold store by counting produce and signing with relevant comarket agents staff and other market users.
- Undertakes stock audits and inspects quality of produce prior to loading into rooms.
- Checks for mechanical defects and reports these defects to the Supervisor.
- Removes decaying produce to markets skip (dumping) area.
- Undertakes the filing of documentation and record-keeping.
- Allocates rooms to market agents and other users.
- Undertakes cleaning of cold store complex.
- Provides relief to the Supervisor.
