Job Summary
The MuleSoft Developer (Senior Associate) role requires a highly skilled integration specialist with strong experience in designing, developing, and implementing MuleSoft-based solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role is suited to someone who thrives in agile environments, collaborates effectively across teams, and applies deep technical knowledge to solve complex integration challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Design & Development
Design, develop, and implement MuleSoft integration solutions connecting multiple systems, applications, and data sources.
Create and maintain scalable integration architectures using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Develop RESTful APIs and SOAP web services aligned with best practices and standards.
Implement data transformations, mappings, and orchestrations to support end-to-end data flow.
Technical Delivery & Quality
Perform unit, integration, and performance testing for MuleSoft applications.
Conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to standards.
Implement effective error handling, logging, and monitoring within MuleSoft solutions.
Apply security measures such as OAuth, SSL, and encryption to ensure secure integrations.
Utilize version control and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with analysts, architects, and QA teams to define and deliver integration requirements.
Maintain technical documentation for APIs, integrations, and related configurations.
Stay current with MuleSoft platform enhancements and integration best practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development methodologies and integration standards.
Mentor and support colleagues to develop technical capability across the team.
Commercial & Delivery Support
Provide input into proposals and technical estimations.
Support pre-delivery and handover activities to ensure seamless implementation.
Balance resource planning and engagement requirements while maintaining profitability awareness.
Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (required)
MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 2 (advantageous).
Additional relevant industry certifications (optional).
Experience & Skills
Minimum of 3+ years' experience working as a MuleSoft Developer.
Proven expertise in designing API-led connectivity solutions.
Strong proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Runtime, Studio, API Manager, etc.).
Experience with CloudHub, on-premise, and hybrid integration deployments.
Solid understanding of integration frameworks, enterprise architecture, and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and performance.
General Requirements
Maintain active MuleSoft certification.
Support the improvement of internal team processes and technical practices.
Manage, mentor, and coach peers as required.
Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and commitment to continuous learning.
