Motor Mechanic

to join our Brits team and contribute to our continued growth and excellent service standards.

Role Purpose

The Motor Mechanic will be responsible for performing

servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and related mechanical work

on a wide range of vehicles. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, diagnose faults accurately, and deliver high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

minor and major vehicle services

Conduct

general mechanical repairs

(brakes, suspension, engine components, clutch, gearbox, etc.) Carry out

diagnostics and fault-finding

using proper tools and equipment Perform

auto-electrical fault finding and repairs

where required Conduct

roadworthy-related repairs

to ensure vehicles meet safety standards Ensure all work is completed

accurately, efficiently, and to high-quality standards

Complete

job cards, inspection sheets, and service reports

Maintain a

clean and organised work area

Adhere to

workshop safety procedures and company policies

Communicate clearly with the Service Manager regarding parts, delays, and job status Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs where necessary

Minimum Requirements

3-5 years experience

as a Mechanic (multi-brand experience preferred) Proven ability to perform servicing, repairs, and diagnostics Technical knowledge of modern vehicles and workshop tools Valid driver's license Ability to work independently and as part of a team Honest, reliable, and responsible Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
