Job Description

SPAC Early Childhood Development Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator

About Us:

The Early Childhood Development (ECD) programme, initiated by Sabine Plattner African Charities (SPAC), is an educational programme focusing on the implementation of a conservation enriched, play based curriculum in the Republic of Congo. Partnering with government ministries, ECD centres, primary schools, inspectors and teachers, the SPAC ECD programme aims to develop nature conservation awareness amongst ECD teachers, young children, ECD parent bodies, and communities in which SPAC ECD Centres are based. Currently the project includes two flagships, five satellite ECD centres and one mobile ECD Centre located on the periphery of the Odzala Kokoua and the Nouabale-Ndoki National Parks. In partnership with the Congolese government, the SPAC ECD team plans to implement its curriculum in 15 Government Pilot centres in the next four years, and to extend the reach thereafter. As there is unequivocal evidence that supporting young children in the early years is one of the most significant human capital investments that a country can make, the SPAC ECD project's vision is to inspire a new generation of responsible citizens in Congo who will maintain focus and resolve to keep balancing human needs with available natural resources.
