Job Description

We are looking for a Mobility Engineer to join our growing team;

The Mobility Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing an organisation's MDM and operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving innovation and efficiency through effective use of technology.

Advise the client on the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to secure and manage company-owned mobile devices.

Develop and execute strategies for cloud-based services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Advise on End-User Computing (EUC) initiatives, including desktop and application virtualisation, remote access, and user profile management.

Stay current with airline industry trends and technologies, and advise on opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application development, network operations, and information security, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of IT services.

Manage the development and maintenance of documentation, including standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and service level agreements.

Required capabilities

Strong knowledge of MDM solutions, such as VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune, or MobileIron.

Extensive experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Expertise in Citrix virtualisation technologies, including XenDesktop and XenApp.

In-depth understanding of EUC technologies, such as VMware Horizon, Microsoft RDS, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

Familiarity with desktop support best practices, including ITIL and HDI.

Knowledge of airline industry-specific technologies and systems, such as departure control systems, flight operations, and crew management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Experience

8+ years of experience in managing technical support services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Knowledge of DNS; MDM; IT Support

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: R50000,00 - R80000,00 per month
