Job Description


We're seeking a skilled Sales Engineer with a proven track record of selling into mining operations to manage existing accounts and cultivate new clientele in your designated territory. This role demands precise coordination across manufacturing, administration, and logistics to boost sales and enhance profitability within the mining sector.

Qualifications
Grade 12 or National Technical Certificate N3 (Technical) OR
Mechanical Trade/Diploma.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years in an external sales representative role, focusing strongly on the mining industry.
Solid mechanical background of relevant experience in selling industrial products to mining operations.
Proficiency in both direct and distributor sales within the mining sector.
Proven track record of exceptional sales performance within the mining industry.
Expertise in sales, negotiation, and communication specific to mining clientele.
Effective prioritisation, time management, and organisational skills.
Proficiency in computer applications.

Key Responsibilities
Provide top-tier customer service to assigned accounts within the mining sector.
Offer engineering support for new product inquiries related to mining applications.
Lead sales and service efforts for all mining products within assigned accounts.
Maintain regular engagement with mining customers to foster relationships and secure new orders.
Build and sustain positive relationships at all levels of mining client personnel.
Negotiate long-term supply contracts and partnership agreements within the mining industry.
Maintain comprehensive account records and generate timely reports for mining clients.
Stay updated on mining-specific product knowledge, application expertise, and company policies.
Monitor mining industry sales trends, ensuring timely achievement of targets.
Develop and implement strategies for mining-related issues, including account payment discrepancies.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure prompt customer payments within the mining sector.
Provide insights on mining customer needs, competitive dynamics, and new mining products/services opportunities.
Improve mining industry sales processes with relevant materials and documentation.
Manage a comprehensive sales database with essential stakeholder information in the mining sector.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement specific to mining sales.
Assist the Finance Director/Sales Manager in achieving mining industry sales objectives, contributing to business growth.
