A well-established company in the mining sector is looking for an experienced Technical Salesperson with proven expertise in technical sales and a strong ability to expand market presence. The role focuses on driving new business, managing client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth by securing and servicing clients within the mining industry.
Responsibilities:
Research and identify new mining business opportunities and convert leads into sales.
Produce complex quotations and respond to mining tenders.
Engage with prospective and existing clients through in-person visits and ongoing communication.
Represent the company at mining conferences and industry events.
Maintain detailed client visit schedules and provide feedback to management.
Develop a deep understanding of the mining sector ecosystem, including key players and decision-making structures.
Collaborate with the internal sales team to close large, complex deals.
Prepare reports, update CRM systems, and attend regular team meetings.
Proactively drive outbound sales strategies to reduce reliance on inbound opportunities.
Requirements:
Matric certificate (essential).
3-5 years of proven technical sales experience in the mining sector or a comparable technical environment.
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field (advantageous).
Strong technical sales acumen with the ability to manage complex deals.
Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems (MS Dynamics 365 or similar preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Positive, adaptable, and self-motivated personality with a strong work ethic.
