In this role you will be responsible for:
Safe blasting of underground excavations
Development of waste and reef footprint
Ensuring a consistent mining cycle for blasting cleaning and support of working areas
Enforcement of mine standards and procedures, ensuring that the workplaces are safe
Mining operation (production) - Conduct daily entry examinations, risk assessments, marking off support
Identify the reef band and mark the face as per geological reports, and charge up the face
Plan and coordinate mine activities in line with targets and objectives and stick to a workable productive mining cycle
Personal Management and Crew control - Supervision of team and management of performance
Communication of mining plans and allocation of responsibilities to the crew
About you:
Grade 12
Blasting Certificate
At least three (3) years' experience working in an underground mining environment
Board and Pillar, Trackless Mining experience
Accurate and timeous completion of assignments (results driven)
Proficient in English written language, with excellent report writing skills
Good interpersonal skills and ability to function independently
Drivers licence
Medically Fit for underground
Ability to work shifts
