Our mining client based in the Northern Cape is in need of a skilled Mine Planner. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in an underground mining environment and a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating short-term and long-term mine plans, survey control, ventilation planning, and conducting ore reserve estimations. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of R1.8Mil to R1.2Mil per annum.
Responsibilities
- Creating short-term and long-term mine plans
- Conducting mine designs and project evaluations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards
- Liaising with external stakeholders and contractors
- Conducting ore reserve estimations
- Coordinating and implementing exploration programs
- Survey control and ventilation planning
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in an underground mining environment
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
- Experience in mine design and scheduling
- Knowledge of relevant software such as Deswik and Surpac
- An understanding of geostatistical techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
