Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the professional exploitation of coal deposit to meet the companies objectives.
Ensure maximum efficient operations of equipment and machinery as well as the care of plant and support equipment through the direction of a technical support team
Analyse problems/challenges and take appropriate action
Assist with planning and forecasting engineering requirements to meet production needs
Control production of coal that has been mined and processed.
Managing rehabilitation processes on the mine.
Completing daily, weekly and monthly production reports

Qualifications

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering or Geology
5 - 7 years experience in the mining industry (Coal mine experience will be advantageous)
Management experience (essential)
Open Cast Mining experience (essential)
