Job Description

PURPOSE

Exciting opportunities exist to assist in ensuring efficient operations of the Plant against set objectives, thus maintenance of the Plant . Assist in attending breakdowns as and when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance

Create job cards Execute Engineering work as planned Inspect equipment in a working area Perform general and process maintenance / repairs - electrical/ mechanical Execute planned maintenance tasks Fault finding on centrifugal pumps, electrical motors, diesel engines, hydraulic systems Perform quality assurance inspections on service providers

Health and Safety

Maintain company and client safety policy and procedure requirements Promote safety performance Conduct risk assessments Conduct planned task observations Investigate and report all incidents Ensure Mine Health and Safety compliance

Operations

Maintain good housekeeping standards Do proper shift handover Assist to operate the Plant when required Rectify process deficiencies Monitor Plant performance to obtain optimum production Advise operations on sub-standard practices Manage spares

Administration

Complete all reports regarding safety, production, quality control and maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

N3 Mechanical / Electrical subjects Trade test - Millwright MQA / Merseta preferred

EXPERIENCE

Five years experience as a Millwright Previous mining / production / construction environment exposure (preferable) Good working knowledge of star/delta starters and VSD systems PLC basic programming experience and field application Experience on internal combustion engines (diesel)
