Overall, Purpose of the Role
Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
Responsible for planned scheduling and timely completion of work carried out.
Increase plant operational effectiveness, reduction of mean time between failures and downtime.
Manage and implement improvement plans, ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department.
Must be able to respond to calls 24/7 for relevant matters that impact production. Key Responsibilities General and Task Management x Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site. x Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximising plant utilization and reducing unplanned downtime.
Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift supervisors.
Ensure routine maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation/programming systems are undertaken.
Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions. x
Produce written reports.
Perform root cause analysis and propose/resolve problems. Identify improvement opportunities
Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements. Maintenance Millwright -
Manage, coach Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them.
Provide technical expertise to the team.
Liaise and ensure an effective interface with the operating team.
