Job Description

• In depth understanding of all preventative and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation equipment
• In depth understanding of all servicing / refurbishment of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation equipment
• In depth understanding of all installations of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation equipment
• In depth understanding of fault-finding principles, Root Cause Analyses and process efficiencies and improvements
• In depth understanding of all legislative requirements and regulations with regards to Occupational Health and Safety, regarding environmental regulations, driven machinery regulation, pressure vessels regulations, certificate of compliance and administrative regulation facilities regulations, etc.

• Ability to install / test all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, welding maintenance activities
• Ability to plan / compile drawings and perform welding, grinding, fitting and other mechanical maintenance activities for all installations on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic installations
• Ability to implement, maintain and ensure adherence to preventative and planned maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery and other related facilities / equipment
• Ability to conduct fault finding on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic,

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

• GR 12 matric certificate
• Trade qualification in Electrical discipline or Millwright
• Minimum 3-5 years Electrical experience in manufacturing or industrial environment as a qualified Red Seal Certified Electrician and/ or Red Seal Certified Millwright
• Wiremans license would be an advantage
• Trained in all areas of electrical and mechanical testing and repair.
• Written and oral fluency in English is an asset.
• PLC programming or robotics experience will be at an advantage.
• Ability/willingness to work long shift durations (overtime) when required, including shift work
• Valid drivers license
