Job Description

PURPOSE



The role is responsible to assist the Process Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives thus maintenance of the plant and attend to breakdowns speedily.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Safety, Health , Environment and Quality



Maintain FAMP/Client SHEQ policies and procedures .



Promote SHEQ performance, programs and campaigns



Conduct risk assessments



Execute planned task observations



Conduct SHEQ meetings



Report & Investigate all incidents/accidents



Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation e.g. Mine Health and Safety Act



Operations



Maintain good housekeeping standards



Do proper shift handover



Operate the plant



Rectify process deficiencies



Ensures production targets are met



Maintains quality standards



Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production



Advise on requirements of process spares



Implement client "Crushing Plan" to achieve throughput & qualities



Monitor sampling procedures



Maintenance



Be part of maintenance planning meeting



Create job card (R Card)



Engineering work execution on relevant Maintenance day's



Inspect equipment in the area of responsibility



Capture update and maintain information On key-system



Do general and processing maintenance/repairs e.g. change panels and sieve



bends/tighten panels/cutting of skirting / unblocking of panels and flood boxes



Execute planned maintenance tasks



Managing the team



Assign work



Monitor performance



Train and develop team members



Maintain discipline in the team



Proper communication



Administration



Completes and distribute shift reports e.g. SHEQ and production,



personnel, quality control and maintenance.



Complete incident/accident reports



Ensure all records are maintained e.g. disciplinary, production and SHEQ



QUALIFICATIONS



Grade 12



N3 - Mechanical & Electrical engineering subjects



Trade test-Millwright - MQA/MERSETA preferred



MV added advantage



EXPERIENCE



5 years' millwright experience preferable in Mining/Mineral Processing
