Key Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance
: Install, align, and level machinery and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently. Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment failures and extend machinery life.Repair and Troubleshooting
: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, replacing defective parts as necessary. This includes using specialized tools and equipment to conduct repairs.Blueprint Interpretation
: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand machinery layout and installation requirements.Safety Compliance
: Follow strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety regulations.Collaboration
: Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure project completion.Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment is essential. Should have a strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Physical Stamina
: The job often requires physical strength and stamina, may need to lift heavy machinery and work in challenging environments.Education
: A Matric, an associate's degree in industrial mechanics or a related field preferred, and solid track record.Salary Range
18 k - 25 k depending on experience
