RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Pietermaritzburg. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to operate and maintain milling machines to produce precision components in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling machines according to job specifications and engineering drawings
• Select appropriate tools, machine speeds, and feed rates
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to machines as needed
• Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade certificate or qualification in Machining, Fitting & Turning, or Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
• Proven experience operating milling machines in a production or workshop environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with both manual and CNC milling machines is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
